Arena Multimedia structured competition between two batches where all students of AMSPro-14 & AMSPro-17 participated in Graphic Designing Live Competition Mr. Salman Saeed Training Executive/Placement Head were given task to all student for making Logo of Millennium Education .All entries were submitted after 2 Hours.

After the submissions were received, evaluation was the next step which was done by graphic designers. The key points which distinct in every piece of art submitted were creative layout, color combination given through various illustrations etc.

The results were announced on very next day after the evaluation was through. Arena proudly announced AMSPro-14 Batch as the winner. The logos designed by Syed Shabhi Haider , M. Owais Khan , Uzma Mehboob Asfa Sayed, Rukhsar , and Mohsin Farooq was a remarkable piece of art with great feel and fine illustrations. The Winner, Runner-up and other participants were applauded and appreciated by Mr. Salman Saeed and Mr. Nomeen Yameen.

Another interesting department that the students visited was the CPT Department (Computer to Plate).A Latest equipment has been installed in the CPT section which can create plates for printing within 10 Min. This Machine is only available at the ”Dawn Press”. Arena Multimedia (North Karachi) is very grateful to Mr. Ramzan Ali (Printing Supervisor), Mr. Sikander Tareen (circulation department) and Mr.Salman for explaining and promoting our students & they gathered valuable information about Printing Industry.

At countryside chalet first of all as every trip starts people jumped into the pool and then a dance party. We had cricket matches against other teams on a proper cricket pitch and a ground. People who did not play cricket were entertained by the indoor games such as table tennis, snooker, carom board, frooze ball as well as a proper gymnasium. At around 2:00pm people sat in the well maintained restaurants to have lunch. After lunch people went again to the pools and to the boating sections.

It was an enjoyable trip and in future more trips like this should be planned.

Students found it very interesting as they’ve watched live programs in bulk but never got the opportunity to have their details. Students got the chance to watch the professional non linear editing in their editing department. Students inquired about the latest methods and equipment used in the non linear editing from Mr. Syed Hassan Raza (Senior Editor in PTV). He showed us that technology which is used for terrestrial transmission and how it is being maintained by PTV. He told us about the scheduling of the programs and advertisement in between them.

He then took us to Master Control Room where all the on-air scheduling and showing has been done. In the End students visited to Satellite Department where they met with Syed Tanveer Ali (OEEC SATELLITE COMMUNICATION) He told students that 1/3 is the reach of the equipment which is present in PTV. It is known as Space Craft and he told PTV have 100 Rebroad Casting stations in Remote Areas. In the end, ARENA DEFENCE is grateful to all the members in PTV for sharing knowledge with our students who found this visit very significant and memorable.

The Students visited the post production department of Dhoom News Channel, under the supervision of post production head Mr. Omer. The basic technicalities of the Editing and compositing department were discussed and briefed to the students.

Later the students were taken to the Dhoom News Studios where all the Breaking News, Regional News and International News etc were recorded. The Camera, lighting and Concepts of direction were explained to the students by Senior Cameraman, After that students were taken to the Broadcast Department where all the techniques of broadcast were briefly explained to the students by Senior Coordinator Mr. Naveed Ahsan. The session continued for more than an hour where the students gathered really important and basic knowledge about direction, filming, camera, lights, camera angles, visual graphics and much more.

The visit proved to be very interesting and the students enjoyed this industry visit a lot.

Introduction of Speaker:

Mr. Wasiq Haris a graphics artist and a game designer with a keen interest in animation, who studied Bachelors in Media Sciences from Iqra University along with 3 years professional work experience.

Topics Covered in Seminar:

1. How to create very detailed looking models, from characters, to props and environments.
2. The process of building game-resolution geometry and baking the appropriate maps to reproduce that detail falls to other applications in the pipeline.
3. Techniques for sculpting our initial high-resolution asset, a ceremonial dagger.
4. Usage of DynaMesh, clipping brushes, masking, and a variety of other tools to get final result.
5. Paint the dagger appropriately.
6. Create a low-resolution mesh derived from the final asset.
7. Marmoset Tool bag to see how it will look in real time.

End of the Seminar:

Students were involved in presentation and they enjoyed by having great knowledge about asset designing and enhancement of communications skills as well.

A big number of students got registered for the visit. Students got to learn new technologies and platforms which were being used there and also had an insight about using their own skills taught by Arena Multimedia as per market requirements.

He has won many awards and prize in web design industry. His totally working for foreign clients like; USA, UK, Canada, Australia and so on. His major expertise is in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash Professional, HTML/CSS (Tableless), jQuery, WordPress & Joomla.

About Seminar:

Mr. Immad  Asim were start presentation with shared his experienced in web designing.He briefed the students about the latest tips and techniques being worn in the market. He also guided the students about the implication and level of web sites in the field.He discussed about the tips and techniques modified by modern day web designing and also concise about the challenges being faced by fresh designers in this field.Further he classified the importance and the completion of the Arena Web semester in the industry.

He then demonstrated some of his on line works to the students and also motivated them to perform in the same approach. He also discussed topics on web marketing and its importance.

End of the Seminar:

The students in general and the web students in meticulous discussed different issues regarding the problem faced while making a web site which were responded very proficiently by him and the students benefitted from his speech.

Arena North Nazimabad centre’s staff and the winning team of Arena Champions’ League 2013 “Arena Thunders” gathered at Arena club Karsaz to celebrate their Victory.Mr.Tariq Habib and Mrs. Erum Tariq invited everyone for having a lavish Hi-tea there. It is not possible to fully enjoy club Arena without bowling and fun games, therefore after hi-tea everyone rushed to the bowling area and enjoyed multiple bowling games! From students till the CEO of Arena North Nazimabad, everyone took a challenge in bowling and pool games. Later, exotic desserts were also enjoyed by everyone present there.

All the staff is grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Tariq Habib for such an honorable yet fully enjoyed weekend.
