Bagh-e-Quaid Annual Cricket Carnival 2008:

Yet another feather in the cap for Arena Multimedia Bagh-e-Quaid by successfully organizing 5th Annual Cricket Carnival 2008.

This year there were four participating teams. BQ Wizards captained by Mr. Abbas Ali Ismail (Senior Training Executive - Bagh-e-Quaid) lifted the winner’s trophy. BQ Storms captained by Mr. M. Tarique Ahmed (Counseling Head - Bagh-e-Quaid) finished runner’s up. Other two teams were BQ Warriors captained by Mr. Imran Shahzad (Group Leader - Bagh-e-Quaid) and Arena Gulshan Dynamite captained by Mr. Adnan Sohail (Director - Arena Gulshan). BQ Wizards beat BQ Storms in the final by 10 wickets thanks to the marvelous all-round performance by Syed Zohaib Ali (Student - Arena Bagh-e-Quaid). He scored 187 runs in 3 innings without given away his wicket and hit 25 sixes in the tournament.

Zohaib was awarded Man of the Series. Group Leader Mr. Imran Shahzad gave away the prizes. Prizes and Umpires clothing were sponsored by King Seven Paints. Daily Mehshar was the media partner for the event. Mrs. Hashmi (Center Head – Bagh-e-Quaid) congratulates BQ Wizards on their fantastic win and encourages all the participants to perform par excellence in all walks to life.

Carnival was witness by the many Arena Students and outsiders as the entry in ground kept free of cost.
