Visit to Ibn-e-Hassan Printing Press by Arena Gulshan-e-Iqbal Campus :

In order to introduce students to Commercial Printing Processes (Film-making, types of color machines, Separation, Stripping and Plate-making, Proofing, Printing & finishing), Arena Gulshan-e-Iqbal visited a well renowned Printing Press of the city.

Faculty and students were welcomed by Mr. Imran, Owner of the Press and Mr. Qamar Iqbal, Chief Editor - Aaj ki Awaz Newspaper.  They were briefed about the departments within the press, production lines, and jobs processing procedures.
Students concluded their visit after observing different printing processes and machines both old and new at work. They also observed the finishing and packaging of printed materials and how they are made ready for shipment.

Everyone was thankful to the team of printing press for such an informative session which indeed helped them to understand the mechanism of Printing and Publishing.

If you ever get a chance to see a printing press in action, it is well worth it. It’s a complicated process but the fact that all is done by machines is mesmerizing and really makes you appreciate how much technology has advanced.
