Students' Visit to Dawn Press | Arena Gulshan-e-Hadeed

News papers are major source to find out new ideas, jobs and related to study like about graphics, media, jobs, and lots of other stuff. As we can find and can view all these things in the Daily DAWN. The leading news paper of Pakistan.

Students of “Arena Multimedia, Gulshan-e-Hadeed Centre” visited “DAWN PRESS on 22nd January 2009. Students learnt about designing , making transparencies, plated and finally printing.

First of all students went to designing department, where they told  them about how to design news paper adds through different software’s then they showed us temporary print outs of that adds. Then they moved to scanning department where they saw drum scanner, it scanned picture at very high resolution which gives highly good quality image.
Then they showed us transparencies. After that we moved to plate making section they showed us machine where plates were made.

Finally we want to printing reaction, where news paper was printed.  At all steps, representative of press guide us very well.
In the End the Dawn’s management serve the students and gave a brief introduction about their SPIDER magazine. They also provide a free fresh copy of SPIDER Magazine. Many of our students also subscribed the spider magazine for the whole year.

This trip is good enough for students to see what we have learned. Everything was so informative and interesting.
