Arena Bagh-e-Quaid visits ICE Animations

Students from Arena Multimedia Bagh-e-Quaid centre went to visit ICE Animations on April 22, 2010 under the supervision of, faculty members, Mr. Shabbir Abbas Ali and Mr. Shahzaib Aslam.

ICE Animations is a 3D animation studio with the technical, creative and production capabilities to create a new generation of animated feature films. The aim is to produce and distribute world-class content that entertains movie-goers worldwide. The studio is located over an area of 10,000+ sq/ft with over 100 artists working in this facility.

The industrial exposure is very necessary for students and so for their career. Arena Bagh-e-Quaid always encourage getting new knowledge to the students. The visit made impressive impact on students’ knowledge regarding practical and professional techniques of completing projects.

ICE Animations has another competitive advantage of “Motion Capture System” in the industry. Students really enjoyed the session of demonstrating Motion Capture System and found how helpful it made life for animators. Thanks to ICE Animation and head of production Mohammad Bilal who gave students the opportunity to watch real time capturing of animation.

Officials made an interactive session with students delivering the lecture on 3D modeling and animation. Students have been told several ways and techniques of making good animation and character modeling. Mr. Sajjad Bangash guided students throughout the Motion Capturing session and also shows them BANKAY MIYAN animations.

The visit concluded with great appreciation from ICE Animation that such visits are good way of interaction between students and industry. The market knowledge acquired by students was a good experience. The purpose of the visit fulfilled in a satisfactory manner and students gave excellent feedback.
